The Skells videos are on YouTube?
They are. In fact, if you have watched any of the Skells videos you may have already noticed that we are using YouTube to host our videos. We made the choice to run our videos from a YouTube channel for a few reasons. To start, YouTube is very recognizable and is a great way to get videos onto the web. YouTube also has a fantastic system for sharing videos which makes embedding one onto a website remarkably simple. You see it all the time, from blogs to traditional news outlets people love embedding those videos. So we joined that bandwagon and honestly, couldn’t be happier with our choice.
How many videos have we posted?
As of today, we have posted five videos to our channel, and we are pleased with the results so far. First, we love that we’re easily able to add videos to our site without having to worry about hosting those large files. Thanks YouTube! Secondly, it seems that we’ve started to generate some attention and we love that people are starting to view our work. We wouldn’t characterize the number of views as having gone “viral” (yet) by any stretch of the imagination but people out there are taking a look and it is heartening that (so far) we’ve avoided any negativity. Maybe people just don’t understand what’s going on? Well, as long as people walk away feeling better about their day after watching, we won’t feel bad. Maybe we’ll start seeing some comments (hint, hint) which would help to gauge people’s reactions.
About that YouTube channel
We are still in the early stages of configuring our channel. We’ve cobbled something together to start and we have posted several videos but we know that it can become so much more. As we get accustomed to working in YouTube our channel will continue to grow. One thing we want to mention is that people can “Subscribe” to a channel. This is a good method of getting notified when a new video is uploaded. Interested in subscribing? Great, just follow this link which will take you to our home on YouTube, then just click the subscribe button. We would be most grateful if you would join the few that already subscribed. This just might serve as further motivation to continue to post new and different videos for your entertainment. Not that we plan on stopping, it would just be very exciting to know there were those out there looking for our next offerings.
