What the heck is Skell-E-Tunes?
First, let me ask, have you watched any of the Skells video slideshows yet? If you have, thank you, did you happen to have your volume on? Hopefully you did, which means you are probably somewhat familiar with the musical accompaniment. If you haven’t, please take a look and un-mute your device so that you can check out those crazy sounds. We hope that you’ll enjoy what you hear, the music is composed by a chap that goes by the moniker Skell-E-Tunes. The sounds he creates are largely electronic, with some traditional instrumentation mixed in for balance. He plays a number of different instruments, though, considers himself a bass player more than anything else.
Skell-E-Tunes was initially created as a way to add sound to the Skells universe. As we continue to put out more videos it is our hope that other musicians will add their efforts. We’ve got a few people in mind and hope they’ll find the opportunity to add their own take on the Skell-E-Tune sound.
How are the sounds created?
Skell-E-Tunes employs a combination of nifty sound mixing software suites to achieve the crazy sounds that accompany the Skells on their adventures. Initially, Maschine 2 by Native Instruments is used to create and arrange the electronic sounds you’ll hear. Finally, the mixing software of choice is Apple’s, Logic X Pro, this helps him create the final mix.
We hope you’ve had an opportunity to take a look at some of our videos. If you have, we would love to hear your thoughts on what you’ve seen and heard. If you have not, what are you waiting for? Head to the “Skells” page here and take a look. As always, we’re excited to hear what you think, so please feel free to comment or send us a note from our contact us page and tell us what you think.
That’s it for now, see you soon,
